B19 CZV OCULAR
Ophthalmic vaccine for active immunization of cattle against brucellosis caused by Brucella abortus and Brucella melitensis.
Manufactured according to World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH) and European Union standards, B19 CZV Ocular is the first animal brucellosis vaccine registered for conjunctival administration in cattle.
This vaccine for the B19 strain is safe even in adult cattle, making it the best prophylactic tool for controlling the disease in endemic zones through mass vaccination programs.
When administered to replacement heifers in combination with correct diagnostic methods, it can be used successfully in brucellosis eradication programs for testing and culling.
Administering B19 CZV Ocular to cattle between 3 and 4 months old induces a short-term serological response that prevents interference with conventional serological tests used in eradication programs, like Rose Bengal, so there are no false positives.
Administering the vaccine to cattle
The manufacturer of B19 CZV Ocular, CZ Vaccines, has over 30 years of experience manufacturing brucellosis vaccines, with a wide range of vaccines for different strains.
01
Conjunctival administration reduces the side effects compared to other administration routes.
02
The administration route minimizes the serological response and, therefore, false negatives.
03
Avoiding false positives decreases the financial losses from culling healthy animals.
04
It can be used in young and adult animals, including gestating and lactating cows.
05
The highly precise dropper dosing makes it easy to administer with just one drop on the cornea.
06
As the vaccine is stained with patented V Blue, it is easy to properly administer to the conjunctiva.
